       2024年4月20日，由广东省岩土力学与工程学会、华南农业大学主办，华南农业大学水利与土木工程学院、AEIC学术交流中心承办的第八届土木建筑与结构工程学术会议在华南农业大学成功举办。大会汇聚土木建筑的学术精英和专家学者，参会人数近200人，逾30位专家、青年学者进行会议报告。全程研讨氛围热烈，交流碰撞最新热点和成果，共同探讨土木建筑与结构工程领域的最新研究成果、技术创新和应用案例。

On April 20, 2024, the 8th International Conference on Civil Architecture and Structural Engineering (ICCASE 2024), organized by the College of Water Conservancy and Civil Engineering of South China Agricultural University and Academic Exchange Information Center (AEIC), was convened successfully at the South China Agricultural University under the auspices of the Guangdong Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering Society and South China Agricultural University. The conference pooled academic elites and experts in civil architecture, racking up a cumulative participation of 200 attendees, with over 30 experts and young scholars delivering presentations. Throughout the event, a vibrant scholarly atmosphere facilitated exchanges on cutting-edge topics and research findings, culminating in collaborative deliberations on the latest research outcomes, technological innovations, and applied cases in the field of civil architecture and structural engineering.

       会议旨在对土木建筑、结构工程领域及相关产业发展中的热点议题和痛点难题开展深入交流,通过经验分享和智慧碰撞，推动科研学术成果转化和人才、技术、资本聚集，提升广东省岩土力学与工程学会、华南农业大学发展的新动能。

The conference aimed to foster in-depth discussions on key issues and challenges in the advancement of civil architecture, structural engineering, and associated industries. By encouraging the exchange of experiences and the convergence of expertise, it sought to catalyze the transformation of scientific research and academic accomplishments and the aggregation of talent, technology, and capital, thus bolstering new impetus for the progress of the Guangdong Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering Society and South China Agricultural University.

During the morning session of keynote presentations, five experts, including Jun Teng, Tugen Feng, Zhenyu Yin, Dr. Li Xiao (representing Dr. Zhao Mingrui), and Xuehua Chen, shared thematic reports with the conference. They collectively presented the latest research achievements in civil architecture, structural engineering, and related fields, providing inspiration and reflections for the attendees. The session showcased a rich and forward-thinking academic feast of high caliber.

       下午进行的是10位学者的现场口头报告。来自东南大学、西南交通大学、北京建筑大学、贵州大学、西南科技大学等单位的学者针对本次会议主题分享学术报告。现场专家学者积极参与，共同营造热烈、浓厚的学术交流氛围。

The afternoon session featured live oral presentations by 10 scholars. Scholars from institutions such as Southeast University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Guizhou University, and Southwest University of Science and Technology delivered academic reports on the themes of the conference. Experts and scholars actively engaged in the session, collectively creating a vibrant and enriching atmosphere for academic exchange.

       本届大会开展了富有建设性的对话研讨，给与会者们提供了一个交流思想、分享经验的平台，也为推动土木建筑与结构工程领域的发展注入了新的活力和动力。我们相信，在未来的日子里，随着科学技术的不断进步和社会需求的日益增长，土木建筑与结构工程领域将会迎来更加广阔的发展空间和更加美好的未来。

This conference facilitated constructive dialogue and discussions, providing attendees with a platform to exchange ideas and share experiences.
